The Lafarge-Holcim Progressive Staff Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited was registered in 2018 under the Cooperative Law of Ogun State and founded in 2017 by a group of progressive staffs with the sole objective of providing quality and efficient services to her members without compromising on Integrity, Openness and Accountability. The Society started operation with membership strength of about 41 members but today has grown to over 172 members including staffs and contractors. The cooperative draws its membership from staff of the Lafarge Africa Plc and staffs of Third party contractors
It commenced operation in April 2017 by mobilization of savings and granted its first loan to Mr Sunday Ogundipe on the 9th of August 2017 and currently grants loan of up to and over N10million to its individual members. Remittances in form of saving and various loan refunds from members have increased over the years.
It has its Administrative Office located at the New Cooperative building at the Ewekoro 2 cement plant Km64, Lagos- Abeokuta Express Way, Ewekoro with a workforce of two members who see to the day-to-day operations of the Society in line with the Policies formulated by the Management Committee. The success of the Society can be attributed to the commitment and dedication of its staff, whose training and welfare are top priorities to the Management Committee.
The Bye Laws of the Society provide the rules and regulations governing all its activities with respect to both membership and elected officials.
These officials comprise of both Management and Supervisory Committee members who oversee the Operations of the Society in accordance with the Society's Bye Laws.
